Indicator Reports & Rankings

We use indicators to reveal progress for concepts that cannot be measured comprehensively or directly. Is our economy becoming more prosperous, more sustainable, more competitive or more innovative? We caution that many published indices or rankings lack validity. It is especially difficult to develop valid composite indices where variables are weighted and averaged together. We recommend the following indicator reports as informative.

Center for Enterprise Development
indicators of economic opportunity

Community Indicators Consortium

Mass Technology Index
